Honestly I see it as a good sign if you can laugh at your own jokes. When I look at old comics or writing I did all I can do is shake my head at how unfunny I was: "omg did I seriously think this was a good line? This is so godawful and embarrassing!"
In fact it's pretty damn hard to make yourself laugh with your own joke since, you know, you came up with the joke. So if you've succeeded then it must be funny.
